The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly creative and organized Production Coordinator / Graphic Designer to join our growing team in Hamilton.

This role is approximately 60% Production Coordination and 40% Graphic Design, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both project execution and creative design work.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the flow of promotional product and print projects from concept through production and delivery, while also creating professional, client-facing designs, mockups, and artwork. Strong graphic design skills are essential, as this individual will regularly contribute creative concepts and visual solutions for client campaigns.

You will work closely with clients, suppliers, and the sales team to ensure projects are delivered accurately, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Hamilton, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

Production Coordination (Approx. 60%)

  • Coordinate production schedules and timelines with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Manage projects from order entry through production, fulfillment, and delivery.

  • Review client orders, specifications, and artwork to ensure production readiness and accuracy.

  • Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, timelines, proofs, inventory, and production requirements.

  • Track project progress and proactively address potential delays or issues.

  • Provide clients and internal stakeholders with regular project updates.

  • Manage inventory programs, stock levels, and reorder requirements.

  • Maintain accurate production records, order details, and project documentation.

  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.

Graphic Design (Approx. 40%)

  • Create professional artwork, layouts, and production-ready files for promotional products, print materials, signage, and branded merchandise.

  • Develop creative mockups and visual presentations for client proposals and campaigns.

  • Adapt client branding across a variety of products and marketing materials while maintaining brand consistency.

  • Prepare and proof artwork files for production, ensuring accuracy and technical compliance.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop creative concepts and product ideas for client programs.

  • Assist in creating marketing materials, promotional pieces, and internal branding assets.

  • Stay current with design trends, promotional product trends, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Required

  • Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in graphic design, production coordination, print services, promotional products, or a related environment.

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly:

    • Illustrator

    • Photoshop

    • InDesign

  • Strong understanding of print production processes, file setup, bleed requirements, colour management, and production specifications.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Preferred

  • Experience in promotional products, branded merchandise, signage, print production, or marketing services.

  • Knowledge of large-format printing and promotional product decoration methods.

  • Experience working directly with clients and suppliers.

  • Familiarity with inventory management and order tracking systems.

Portfolio Requirement

Applicants must submit a portfolio showcasing their graphic design work. Experience creating artwork for print, promotional products, branding, packaging, signage, or marketing materials will be considered a strong asset.
