We are seeking a hands-on, motivated, career-minded individual for the role of Production Manager. This company uses the Traction EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) business concept, processes, and tools to help drive the success of the business. Under the General Manager (The Integrator) person will be responsible for producing manufactured products as per the Sales Plan and driving Production performance through Continuous Improvement and strong materials management expertise.

Someone with experience gained from both a large production facility and a smaller-medium sized, family-managed manufacturing company
Someone with experience dealing with many SKUs and smaller runs
Someone outgoing, positive, disciplined, and a true people person effective at pushing the floor team to hit productivity goals daily
Someone experienced in dealing with one raw material used in multiple products and the associated labour constraints
Someone who comes from a KPI-driven environment who is eager to learn from their junior team while being an effective member of the leadership team
Someone with experience driving the Traction model to the shop floor is fantastic; alternatively, someone who is constantly looking at ways to improve as a manager & motivator of people
Daily responsibilities
Supervise the production activities of machine operators to ensure adherence to the production schedule to meet productivity goals
Manage and motivate the team to exceed organizational expectations
Drive continuous improvement to improve costs, quality & service
Support the leaders in production to plan & organize their production schedules
Ensure employees optimize up time of all production equipment; and they are assisted in troubleshooting to avoid delays, ensure equipment is maintained, organize repairs, and ensure the workplace is safe
Coordinate product development processes and engineering changes
Manage labour and BoM requirements collaboratively with all stakeholders
Estimate, negotiate, and adhere to budgets and timelines with Sales and Production staff
Determine quality control standards and assist in the writing of S.O.P where not in place
Administer disciplinary policies where required
Manage all government compliance; WSIB, Health & Safety
Recruitment and training of employees to achieve business plan objectives
Qualifications required include
5 Years’ experience in a Leadership role in a manufacturing environment
Thorough knowledge of basic procurement & inventory management principles
Computer literate with advanced MS Excel, knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools & training
MRP experience, Continuous Improvement expertise
Strong interpersonal leadership skills and Post-Secondary Education
