Marketing Assistant

Privately owned and headquartered in Burlington, Ontario, this company is a global leader in providing IT service management consulting, education, and conferences.

Working in-office at our Burlington location, we are looking for a marketing professional who will report directly to the e-Marketing Manager. This is a key role in a complex, multi-national organization and is best suited for individuals with experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. As a marketing assistant, you will contribute to the creative development of all marketing initiatives.

  Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the writing and editing of brochures, courseware, RFPs, blogs, white papers, presentations, analysis documents, and promotional material
  • Be a member of the social media content team and assist with the development and editing of the company’s website and email campaigns
  • Analyze and distribute customer satisfaction surveys for courses and track/record customer comments for use in marketing and promotional activities
  • Assist with vendor promotions by developing collateral to help drive sponsorships
  • Liaise with graphic designers and printers to coordinate activities for the production of printed marketing materials
  • Be responsible for inventory management including tracking and reporting on promotional items and marketing collateral
  • Assist in managing the company’s webinar series, trade shows, and other special events such as the annual conference

 Qualifications:

  • You have 3+ years of marketing experience in a small to medium, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • You are a highly creative individual with an outgoing personality and capability of working independently
  • You have a degree in a business, marketing, sales, communication, or related field
  • You have strong computer skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Dynamics (or equivalent CRM tool) as well as a high comfort level with the internet
  • You have very strong QA and editing skills and are very detail-oriented
  • You possess a high degree of professionalism and demonstrate integrity
  • You have excellent research, project management, and time management skills

 This is an opportunity with a $40k – 50k salary depending on individual experience and skill set.
