Marketing Services Manager- Oakville Hybrid 14 month contract +
As a Marketing Services Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company's brand identity across all consumer touchpoints. You will be focused on overseeing the various design functions, assessing the current market/industry and make informed and research driven decisions on the web overall creative direction. This role blends strategic marketing thinking, creative leadership, operational excellence, and market analysis to deliver integrated marketing programs that support brand growth, product launches, and revenue objectives across retail and e-commerce channels.
You will act as the bridge between market insights, brand strategy, creative execution, and go-to-market delivery, ensuring marketing initiatives are data-informed, cohesive, and performance-driven. This role will have a strong marketing focus while still overseeing design functions and assessing the current market/industry to make informed, research-driven decisions.
Salary & Contract Details:
Location: Oakville, ON (Hybrid- In office strongly encouraged- 3 days per week in office)
Employment Type: Maternity Leave Contract, 14–20 months
Salary: $90,000 per year (based on experience, benefits not included)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Production, Management & Creation (20%)
Oversee Visual Content Creation: Manage the end-to-end production of high-quality visual assets, including product photography, lifestyle imagery, video, and in-store marketing content, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, market insights, and positioning.
Coordinate with Graphic Designers: Oversee the development of marketing materials such as packaging, print ads, digital ads, POS materials, catalogs, and social media visuals. Candidates should have a base level of graphic design skill (Illustrator, Photoshop) and be capable of doing the mechanical design work themselves as needed.
Content Calendar & Campaign Planning: Partner with marketing and brand teams to plan content calendars that support integrated campaigns, product launches, and seasonal promotions informed by market trends and consumer behaviour.
Messaging & Copy Alignment: Ensure messaging reflects clear value propositions grounded in customer needs, category dynamics, and competitive differentiation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration (20%)
Product & Go-To-Market Partnership: Collaborate with Product Management and Merchandising teams to translate market insights, consumer needs, and competitive analysis into compelling launch strategies and product storytelling.
Sales Enablement: Develop sales and retailer marketing materials supported by market data, category insights, and shopper trends to strengthen sell-in and partner relationships.
Agency & Vendor Management: Brief external agencies using market analysis, target audience insights, and performance learnings to guide creative development.
Internal Alignment: Share relevant market findings across teams to ensure alignment on priorities, positioning, and growth opportunities.
Branding, Market Analysis & Strategic Insight (20%)
Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct ongoing analysis of market trends, consumer behaviour, category performance, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities, risks, and white space.
Consumer & Shopper Insights: Leverage qualitative and quantitative insights (customer feedback, reviews, sales data, and third-party research) to inform branding, messaging, and creative direction.
Brand Positioning: Apply market intelligence to refine brand positioning, value propositions, and messaging frameworks.
Brand Stewardship: Ensure all brand expressions reflect both brand standards and evolving market expectations.
Process Management & Operational Excellence (15%)
Production & Campaign Timelines: Manage project plans and schedules that align marketing initiatives with market timing, seasonal demand, and retail calendars.
Workflow Optimization: Establish efficient processes for incorporating market insights into creative briefs and campaign planning.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all materials are accurate, compliant, and aligned with brand strategy and market realities.
Resource Management: Allocate resources based on strategic priorities informed by market opportunity and performance analysis.
Experience with monday.com is a plus
E-Commerce & Retail Marketing Support (15%)
Platform-Specific Content Strategy: Optimize product content for Amazon, Walmart, Sam’s Club, and other platforms using platform analytics, keyword trends, and competitive benchmarks.
Retailer & Shopper Insights: Apply shopper marketing principles and retailer-specific insights to improve conversion, visibility, and sell-through.
Performance Monitoring: Analyze content and campaign performance, translating data into actionable recommendations for optimization.
Continuous Improvement: Test, learn, and iterate based on market response and consumer feedback.
Team Leadership & Development (10%)
Mentorship & Insight Sharing: Coach 2 team members on integrating market insights into creative thinking and execution.
Workload & Priority Management: Align team efforts to high-impact initiatives based on market opportunity and business goals.
Creative Brainstorming: Lead insight-driven ideation sessions rooted in consumer needs, category trends, and competitive differentiation.
B2B Marketing & Analytical Competencies (Integrated)
Apply B2B segmentation, targeting, and positioning frameworks to address the needs of key customer groups such as retailers, distributors, and strategic partners.
Support account-based marketing (ABM) and sales-driven initiatives through tailored messaging, sales enablement tools, and partner-specific marketing assets.
Interpret market, category, and customer-level data to support sales strategies, retailer presentations, and long-term partnership growth.
Translate market analysis and customer insights into value-driven narratives that emphasize product performance, operational benefits, and commercial impact.

Base Graphic Design knowledge with previous experience in strategic marketing roles
Post Secondary Education; Graphic Design, Digital Marketing and/or equivilant
