Our Burlington based client creates beautiful custom designed closets, garages, pantries, and other storage solutions with careful attention to detail. Proud of their perfectionism, it shows in everything they do from designing your project to making sure everything fits seamlessly. We are looking to hire a new Installer to the group.

If you love working with people, are handy with tools and measurements and you have a love of installing cabinetry, furniture or the like, this is a great opportunity for those that are keen to develop their skills in the renovations/construction industry.

This Installer role will work mostly within the Halton and surrounding regions. One job site per day is typical. Day starts and ends at the Burlington based shop. Must be capable of lifting up to 50lbs. Great Installers have solid attention to detail, communicate well with clients in their homes, polite & courteous with general build and finishing skills.

Installer Qualifications:

  • Handy – You know your way around basic carpentry, furniture assembly, and hand/power tools.
  • High standards – You pay meticulous attention to detail and care about delivering world-class results.
  • Flexible – You can work 1 weekend per month and be flexible on hours.
  • Amiable – You have strong oral communication skills and a winning personality.
  • How You Work – You’re a team player who can also fly solo.
  • Transportation – You have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Experience- general carpentry, furniture install, bit of wood finishing skills, comfortable with hand & power tools, taking accurate measurements.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Perform installations at customers’ homes at prescribed times, taking care to protect their property
  • Follow the closet envy processes and procedures for all functions to the letter
  • Demonstrate system to customers upon completion of installation
  • Clean workspace upon completion
  • Complete paperwork with customer and collect final payment
  • Maintain communication with Installation Manager throughout the day
  • Perform multi-step processes in a logical order, check your own work, and recognize and correct mistakes

Hiring Process:  We will ask selected candidates to complete a recorded video interview answering 3 questions using your phone or laptop - this will lead to a onsite interview with the owner who will ask candidates to complete a small build project to display your general carpentry skills.  Candidates will then be asked for 2 employment references, a drivers abstract and be asked to complete a police check given the work is conducted in homeowners property.
