This newly created role will report to the Production Manager.  This is an immediate need, full time salary with benefits. 

Felton Brushes is a manufacturer of high quality products in Hamilton ON serving a diverse industrial marketplace.  In business for over 80 years, they produce very high quality industrial grade brushes.  With new technology & automation and strong technical expertise and leadership in house, this is a time of great growth and advancement for Felton Brushes Ltd. To support this, we are looking for a Production Coordinator/Administrator with experience in the manufacturing sector to help coordinate with Sales & Production teams.

 

What we need: We are looking someone dynamic who has worked in administration in a manufacturing environment who understands production reporting, inventory management, some purchasing administration will be an asset. Scheduling, reporting, WSIB filing duties will be part of the day to day coordination.

 

  • Labour and production scheduling
    • coordination with sales and production on priorities
    • Monitor, track and report all aspects of the production process for multiple projects at one time using Streamline WMS system
  • Inventory management
    • Lead tracking /reporting of critical production data – for example: inventory, weekly production results, inventory levels
    • Coordinate cycle counts with warehouses and reconcile inventory weekly
    • Enter physical inventory counts conducted by production team into the system. After review, make appropriate stock adjustments
    • Follow-up on inbound materials and finished goods to ensure timely delivery. Resolve scheduling problems with suppliers and internal customers on an ongoing basis
    • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Write a variety of documents such as employee memos, procedure manuals, reports, meeting minutes
  • Function as Back-up for Purchasing
  • Ensure and monitor the administration for Health & Safety of all employees
  • Assist in hiring new production employees and temporary labour coordination
  • Handle sensitive material in accordance with established policies
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Ideal Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business considered an asset
  • 3+ years of working experience in a Manufacturing Coordination & Administration
  • Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S’s, Continuous Improvement, Kanban
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word, experience with MRP WMS
  • Flair for an Entrepreneurial environment
  • Communication skills which include clear concise conversation style, good follow up, follow through
  • Capable of pivoting and changing course as priorities shift and change
  • Organized and systemized, flair for documentation and note taking
  • Outgoing combined with analytical skills; unique combination is very desirable
  • Ideal to live with in 30 min drive to Hamilton ON.
